I am not talking about the kids getting buck fever either! Absolutely the greatest pleasure in hunting is sharing time hunting with kids...It will make you smile, laugh, cry, and have a complete nervous breakdown in a matter of minutes. Jake Starr says:"Some of my turkey friends may poke a little fun at me for shooting a young gobbler, but when my 4 year old son sat still enough, quiet enough and long enough for 5 turkeys to come in close enough - I decided gobbler was for dinner. Case turned 4 this past Tuesday, this was his 3rd turkey hunt. I first took him out when he was 2 years old and as Mom predicted it was a total bust. Age 3 was the same result, but now we have a memory to last a lifetime."

Caston Dauenhauer shot this buck with a Mathews boy in Shackelford on his 13th birthday. Happy birthday, Caston!

Colby Dauenhauer took his 4th Pope and Young whitetail with a Mathews switchback bow. Colby was hunting a bigger buck, but when this buck showed up with his mule deer looking G2s it was more than he could stand, so he let his arrow fly. He harvested this buck in Shackelford County with the Lost River Outfitters.

Ricky Martin says, "Tanner Mitchan with his first buck. My place is in SW Duval County and as you know we all have cull deer to take and my wife and I get a lot of enjoyment out of letting friends and their kids do that job with us. I hunted 3 days for this deer with Tanner before we had the right opportunity with him drooling over it every time we saw him and never knowing my plan was for him to take it. One happy young man and a highligh t in my season."
